I just had a frustrating problem with my Eletre key fob that nearly got me stuck!
The auto-unlock on approach didn't work, so I unlocked using the button and drove away.
On the way back, the car unlocked once again using the button, but it refused to shift into drive.
Even though the fob was right there, the display kept stating that it was unable to identify the digital key. It worked after multiple attempts—locking, unlocking, exiting, and then reentering. The fob battery appears to be low; it had enough power to unlock the doors but not enough to be recognized by the car for driving. The last one lasted barely a few months, but it was solved by changing the battery!
I'm now prepared with spare parts and a SIM tool. Has this happened to anyone else? Could something else be causing these batteries to drain so quickly?
