Just got my new Eletre and it’s been a total mess with the software. The nav’s totally busted, CarPlay’s a hot mess, and I can’t even get the digital key to work. Anyone else run into this? What should I do about all this stuff? I’m really fed up and thinking it might be time to head back to the dealer.
 
You can also submit a ticket through the form on the Lotus site if you don't want to go to the dealer.
 
That sounds like a tough experience, definitely the opposite of mine.
The dealershp situation is a bit chaotic, but that’s mainly because Lotus tried a direct-to-consumer model like Tesla’s, which didn’t work out. Now they’re relying on dealers who are still trying to catch up. It seems like most of your issues are software related.
 
Your new Eletre's software problems are really bad! With navigation, CarPlay, and the digital key not working it sounds like the whole system is broken. You definitely need to take it back to the dealer. Write down all the problems take videos if you can and don't let them just restart the system.they need to do a full check maybe reinstall the software and look for hardware problems. These are important features that should work. If the dealer doesn't help contact Lotus customer service. You paid for a good car not to test their software.
