Eletre R worth

Got back from a test drive of the new Lotus Eletre R. Holy crap, this thing is fast! Like, insanely fast. Or at least for me. Brakes are solid too. Interior is nice and roomy, which is surprising for a Lotus. But here’s the kicker: after driving this electric, I hopped back into my old car and it felt like a sluggish snail. Has anyone else experienced this weird contrast?

I had exactly the same experience when I tried out a Lotus Emira, even though I own an Eletre... And my feeling was very strange, distorted by my familiarity with the Eletre.
The Emira, which I find sublime, seemed to me at once so light, capricious, complicated, stiff, with neither torque nor power... I couldn't believe that a car that looks so much like a supercar could be so “hollow” to drive.
Of course, that's all relative, this car is undoubtedly fantastic, but... used to powerful, massive and supple electrics, I wasn't seduced at all.
