Hey all,

I just took delivery of a new Lotus Eletre S yesterday, and I’m running into an issue with the tyre pressure. The front left tyre had a low pressure warning, even though all the tyres were reading 38 psi and the front left was just slightly under at 38. I topped them all up to 38.5, but now I’m getting warning messages on both passenger-side tyres.

I’m really not sure what’s causing this, and it’s super frustrating because the warning is blocking my range info on the dash.

Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This sounds like the TPMS being overly sensitive, which isn’t uncommon in newer performance-oriented EVs like the Eletre. If it’s still blocking your range display, that’s just bad UX on Lotus’ part. Hopefully, they’ll patch that in a future software update

Did the warning show up immediately after inflating the tyres, or did it take some time?
Have you tried driving for a few miles at higher speeds to see if it clears on its own?

If your tire pressure is consistent and you're still getting warnings it's probably a sensor or software problem. Adding more air won't fix it and could cause more issues. You need to take it back to the dealer immediately. They need to check the sensors, wiring, and software. Don't let them tell you to ignore it a constant warning is a safety concern and it's blocking your dashboard information.
