Hey everyone,
Has anyone else experienced the auto braking kicking in unexpectedly? I was driving through a residential area at about 15 MPH. There was a Tesla coming towards me about 50 meters away and two pedestrians walking along the path around 20 meters ahead. Suddenly, the car slammed on the brakes hard, sending my two Labradors flying from the back seat (they’re fine but definitely startled).
I was wearing sunglasses at the time, so I’m wondering if the eye sensors near the steering wheel might have played a part. Could they be affected if they can’t detect your eyes clearly?
