I’m seriously losing my mind with my new Eletre. The charging is crawling along at just 12 to 14 mph, and the 3-pin plug is totally dead. Lotus hasn’t been much help, either. I’m beyond frustrated and feeling pretty stuck. Anyone else dealing with this kind of nonsense with their Eletre? Any tips would be a total lifesaver!

Did you try setting your charging speed? If not, then you can adjust it in the settings and make sure the AC charging current is set to max.

The issue can be as simple as a faulty cable or connector. Have you tried using a different charging cable or a different charging station to see if the problem persists? Check if there's any debris or damage in the charging port of your Eletre. If everything looks good, it might be time to push Lotus for a more in-depth diagnostic.

Sometimes a simple software update can resolve charging issues, so it’s worth checking if there’s any available update for your Eletre.

Are you using a regular 120V plug? If so, yeah, those speeds are pretty normal. A 240V charger would be way faster.

Charging at a snail pace and a dead 3-pin is serious. Looks like you've got a major issue with either the car's onboard charger or the charging infrastructure at your place.

First things first, try a different charging station just to rule out a problem with your home setup.

If it's still crawling, it's definitely an Eletre issue. Lotus not being helpful is just adding insult to injury! Need to be hammering on them demanding a loaner car and a proper fix.

You've got a brand new car that's basically unusable. It's unacceptable.

Stop focusing on the mph charge rate, it’s just a software calculation, not a true reflection of charging speed. What really matters is the kW being consumed by the car, as that shows the actual charge rate.
