Just got back from a road trip in my new Eletre, and man, I’m super let down by the charging speeds on those GRIDSERVE 350kw chargers. I was only getting around 70 mph after the initial charge boost. Anyone else dealing with this? I'm starting to think something might be up with my ride!

Using a 50 kW charger, I was able to reach a top speed of 150 mph.

As I understand it, this Lotus car is built on a modified version of Geely's SEA platform. This is a good sign, I think, for the upcoming electric vehicles from Zeekr, Polestar, and Volvo, since they'll be using the same platform. It seems to be a very efficient platform considering the size and tire setup of the car, and it also boasts impressive charging speeds. I'm really eager to see how the Zeekr 001 performs in Bjorn's tests once the embargo is lifted.

Have you checked if your Eletre’s software is up-to-date or if the battery was preconditioned? Was the charger possibly congested or throttled?

Those 350kW chargers should be capable of much more, so getting stuck at 70 mph after the boost is a bummer. Have you checked if your Eletre’s battery was preconditioned for fast charging? Sometimes, if the battery isn’t at the optimal temperature, charging speeds can slow down significantly. Also, was the charger crowded? Load-sharing could be a factor too.
