Hey everyone! I'm new here. My dad's thinking about buying an Eletre. I'm curious about its safety features. According to what I've heard, it lacks some features such as lane keeping and cruise control. How is it working for those of you who have one? Is this good enough?

The Eletre's current motorway functionality is comparable to Tesla's Autopilot, and, in my opinion, superior. It pauses automatically when you signal a lane change and resumes once you've finished the maneuver. While [insert name of other car] does not currently provide lane change assistance, unlike Tesla's Enhanced Autopilot, I have found Tesla's implementation to be unreliable. Furthermore, the Eletre does not turn off its system when you make steering corrections, which is a common issue with Tesla's Autopilot. Overall, I believe the Eletre provides an excellent motorway experience. However, on country roads, it is not as capable as Tesla's Autopilot in terms of braking.

Welcome to the forum!

I've been eyeing the Eletre. I have a Tesla Model S Plaid. I heard too that there's a lack of lane-change assist and it is a bit disappointing, especially considering Tesla's implementation. I'll be curious to see if Lotus adds this feature in future updates. Overall, it seems like the Eletre offers a good set of advanced driver assistance features.

Why don't you go for a driving test?

Are you talking about the ADAS? I haven't seen so many reviews on that, but I think it is using a DMS that struggles to be accurate above 40mph.

Welcome to the forum! initial reports suggested lane keeping and adaptive cruise control were lacking which is a concern. While updates are showing promise, it's best to look at recent owner reviews and test the features yourself. If they're still not up to par, delaying the purchase or exploring other EVs might be a better option.

there's been some discussion about the performance of its lane keeping and cruise control systems. the vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety technologies including collision avoidance and robust airbag protection. The effectiveness of driver-assistance systems can vary depending on driving conditions and software versions. A thorough test drive ideally on familiar routes, is recommended. software updates is crucial as they frequently bring enhancements to these systems.

Those first batches were a bit glitchy with some of the features, but Lotus is fixing that with software updates to improve the driver assist.
